Mmmmm, there is no bias whatseover! The previous post argues, on the basis of the law as I see it, that Ecuador was legally wrong to have granted diplomatic asylum to Assange whilst he was in the UK. Since it was not included in the previous post, this post merely sets out the position from the Ecuadorean perspective. For historical reasons, a tradition of diplomatic asylum is much more embedded in the culture of some of the nations in the Americas.
